Pathological Bobcat Skull for sale! This listing is for the Pathological Bobcat skull pictured. There are no missing teeth. This skull is extremely unique in that it has both intense bone and dental pathology. Most notably is the infected canine! This canine seems to have become infected deep in the root which caused the tooth to fuse to the bone and the entire inside of the tooth is hollow and exposed to the elements. This must have also weakened the tooth causing it to break during the Bobcat's lifetime. We decided to keep the broken canine in its natural state and not remove any of the twigs/hairs/objects that were lodged within it during the lifetime of the animal. It seems this infection also caused osteoporosis above both canines. There is also an interesting dip in the top of the skull and warping/oddly shaped sagittal crest as well as a lot of other character throughout! Please refer to the photos!
