Taxidermy Feral Hawaiian Goat
Taxidermy Feral Hawaiian Goat Mount For Sale! You will receive the Taxidermy Feral Hawaiian Goat Mount pictured! This is a completely refurbished vintage Black Hawaiian Goat Shoulder mount that has been groomed, repaired, and painted in our studio! To say that he had seen better days is an understatement with cracked and damaged horn sheaths, burnt rubber stuck in his hair, dusty matted fur that hadn’t been groomed in decades, missing and cracked paint, and cracks in his skin, we just new we had to bring him back to life and restore his unbelievable beauty. For those of you who may not know this Feral Hawaiian Goat is one of the non native species that inhabit Hawaii’s Islands! These goofy little goats didn’t exist in Hawaii prior to 1778 when Captiain Cook decided to bring them along for a ride as with most non-native species introductions the Goats bred and began to decimate native plants and therefore native animals. I read an article that said in the 70s at one point there were over 15,000 of these Goats living in the Hawaii Volcano National Park. The Goat measures 25'' Tall, 20" Deep, 16'' Wide, and the horns measure 12'' long each not accounting for the curve with 16'' between the tips of the horns. The horns have been treated with boiled linseed oil to restore their sheen and color. Please refer to the photos!
